-Book authors, editors and chapter authors Co-Author, Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board Member are entitled to order Springer Nature books — print and electronic versions — at a special discount.
-The discount can be used by one person only. It is valid for a lifetime.
-In many cases your author discount can be combined with other discounts, so that everyone can benefit from our special offers. However, 50% discount campaigns are excluded. For details, please carefully review the conditions of each coupon that you receive from us.
-Author discounts are only applicable for book purchases. Authors who want to subscribe to journals or purchase single issue orders are not entitled to an author’s discount.
-An author discount will only be allowed if purchased directly by the author, in the author's name and using the author’s billing address details. A purchase with author discount cannot be made in the author’s Institution/Company name, because the Institution/Company is a separate entity.
-Author purchases are not eligible for tax exemption status (even though your Institution/Company may be), since authors are classified as individuals; and by law, individuals are not tax-exempt. Tax-exempt certificates from organizations will not be honored on author orders. Sales tax will be applied, where applicable.
-The quantity of books ordered must be in the normal range for private use and the resale of the books is not permitted.
