Many of the large reference volumes in SpringerLink have a single PDF for each section rather than individual PDFs for each single reference entry.
For example, if you download the PDF file for a reference entry beginning with "A", you may be presented with a file for all the entries that begin with "A". The first entry may not be the one you are looking for. Simply scroll down through the file until you find the entry you are after.
