As part of our on-going commitment to provide the highest level of security and data integrity for our users in Nature website has been upgraded from the HTTP protocol to the HTTPS protocol.
We expect the majority of users will notice no difference with the performance or behaviour of the site as HTTPS is well supported by all the current browsers. However, some steps may need to be taken by site administrators, webmasters, or network support if there are setups that rely on the distinction between HTTP and HTTPS in the URL string, for example link resolvers.
If you are a user of OCLC’s EZProxy this change may necessitate an EZProxy SSL configuration amendment and an update to the database stanza to enable continued access to Nature via EZProxy. If you have any questions about EZProxy configurations we would advise you to contact OCLC directly.
If you are still experiencing a problem which you believe is related to the switch to HTTPS, you can submit a query to our Online Service team via our webform here. If you would rather email or phone them, their contact information is available here.
